1. Acceptance of these Terms
By inviting Eclipse to a Discord server, accessing the website, signing in with Discord, or using an Eclipse feature, you agree to these Terms of Service. These Terms apply to both the Discord bot and the web dashboard. If you do not agree, do not use the service and remove Eclipse from servers you control.
Server owners are responsible for making sure people they authorise to configure Eclipse understand the effect of those settings.
2. Discord rules also apply
Eclipse is built on Discord and is not a replacement for Discord's own rules. You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer policies where applicable, and any lawful restrictions that apply to your use of Discord.
Eclipse may restrict features or access when use of the service would conflict with Discord policy or create a significant abuse risk.
3. Eligibility and authority
You must be permitted to use Discord in your country and have the authority to configure the server in which Eclipse is used. Dashboard access is intended for accounts with appropriate Discord permissions such as Manage Server or Administrator.
Do not use another person's account, credentials, session, server permissions or authentication information without permission.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Eclipse to break the law, harass or threaten people, distribute malware, facilitate scams, evade Discord enforcement, impersonate others, send unsolicited bulk messages, intentionally overload systems, probe private infrastructure or misuse automation to create harmful behaviour.
- Do not request, store or distribute passwords, authentication tokens, backup codes or payment secrets through Eclipse.
- Do not use moderation or automated messaging features to coordinate abuse.
- Do not attempt to bypass permission checks, rate limits or access controls.
- Do not present Eclipse-generated content in a way intended to deceive users about who sent it.
5. Server configuration and permissions
Eclipse provides moderation, logging, tickets, applications, reaction roles, welcome messages, AutoMod, Anti Scam, sticky messages, invite tracking and other tools. Server owners decide how these tools are configured and remain responsible for reviewing role hierarchy, channel access, exemptions, automated actions and content.
Discord permissions can change independently of Eclipse. A configuration that worked previously may stop working if roles or channel overwrites are changed.
6. User-generated content
Messages, ticket content, application answers, embed text, button labels, URLs, server names, role names, welcome media and other content supplied by users remains the responsibility of the person or server that provided it. Eclipse may process and store that content only as needed to provide the requested feature, maintain security or diagnose issues.
Do not submit content you do not have the right to use.
7. Links and external destinations
Some Eclipse features let server managers configure clickable links, including advanced welcome buttons. Server managers are responsible for the destinations they configure. Links must not be used for phishing, malware, credential theft, scams, deceptive redirects or content that violates Discord's policies.
8. Availability and maintenance
Eclipse is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may be changed, limited, suspended or removed as the service evolves. Continuous uptime, permanent storage and error-free operation are not guaranteed.
Discord outages, API changes, Railway deployments, domain or DNS incidents and third-party service interruptions can affect availability without indicating a permanent data problem.
9. Data and backups
Eclipse may store server configuration and feature records required for operation. Server managers should not treat Eclipse as the only archive for legally or operationally important information. Where transcripts or logs matter, administrators should maintain appropriate independent retention practices.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or terminated when a server or user abuses Eclipse, creates security or legal risk, repeatedly causes spam or abuse reports, violates these Terms, violates Discord's policies, or interferes with service operation. Severe abuse may result in immediate restriction.
11. Security
You are responsible for protecting your Discord account and for restricting who receives server-management permissions. Eclipse staff will never need your Discord password or bot token to troubleshoot a normal dashboard issue.
If you believe credentials or configuration have been compromised, rotate affected secrets through the appropriate service and review server permissions promptly.
12. Disclaimers
Eclipse is a server-management tool, not a legal, financial or security guarantee. Automated moderation can produce false positives or miss harmful content. Ticket and logging systems can be affected by deleted messages, missing permissions or platform outages. Administrators should review important actions rather than relying blindly on automation.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Eclipse and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from missed messages, deleted content, incorrect moderation actions, role changes, server configuration errors, outages, account compromise or decisions made by server staff using Eclipse.
14. Changes to the service
Eclipse may add, redesign or remove features. Settings may be migrated when modules change. Significant changes may require server administrators to review configuration again, particularly where permissions, automation or user-facing messaging are involved.
15. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect product changes, legal requirements, Discord policy updates or security practices. The published update date will change when a meaningful revision is made. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated Terms.
